Reiki Treatments
Getting a Reiki treatment is much different from a massage. Both are relaxing, but the client is fully clothed in a Reiki treatment. Reiki energy flows from the practitioner's hands to the client. Various hand positions are used on the client's head, shoulders, chest, stomach, legs, back, and feet. Hands are placed gently or near the body based on client preference. The treatment usually lasts 60 - 75 minutes. Reiki Crystal treatments are 75 minutes. Crystal treatments combine Reiki with the power of crystal healing energy. Various crystals are placed at specific locations at and around the client's body. Once the crystals are placed, the Reiki treatment is started. Long distance treatments are also available. In a long distance treatment, we arrange a time for you to receive Reiki from a distance. At the specified time, you simply relax and enjoy. The first appointment is around 15 minutes longer to give us time to talk, determine expectations, answer questions, and complete paperwork.
Clients usually feel deep calm and relaxation during a treatment. Some fall asleep. Many feel a wonderful glowing radiance and warmth that flows through and surrounds them. Reiki energy encourages one to let go of tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings. A calm peace and well-being is experienced. At the end of the treatment, clients usually feel refreshed, energetic, calm, and balanced.
All services are scheduled by appointment for evening and weekend time slots. Aura clearing, healing attunements, and crystal healing work may also be a part of treatment based on client need.

Reiki for Pets
Pets love Reiki too. It's not uncommon to see the family pet come into the room where a Reiki treatment is going on. They love to absorb the Reiki energy. One of the reasons I began the Reiki path was to help my beloved rottweiler Jasmine. She had ACL surgery on both hind legs in less than a year. She was no longer being active, limping severely, and in obvious pain. With regular Reiki treatments, she's started to walk better, become playful again, and generally "loving life." I continue to be amazed at how animals respond around the Reiki energies. I've had dogs come up to me at PetSmart, lay down and ask for Reiki.
Aura Clearing
Aura clearing assists in releasing negative energy blocks. The blocks can be ideas, beliefs, and emotions that are in opposition to a person's natural well being. Negative energy blocks can cause many difficulties, including emotional, relationship, spiritual and health problems. Releasing these blocks from the aura allows the energy flow to return to normal.
Healing Attunement
A Reiki healing attunement is highly effective in removing negative energies in the aura, chakras, and physical body. It can also be used to release blocks and empower goals. The client and Reiki practitioner work together to determine the area where the cause of the problem is located, identify the block, give it an identity, and release it.
Space Clearing
It's not uncommon, especially in older homes and buildings, to retain energy from previous occupants. This energy may not be in harmony with current occupants and can cause discomfort ranging from feelings of dread to bad dreams and physical symptoms. We come to your location to remove unwanted energies and balance the space.
Provide Comfort to Pets Crossing over the Rainbow Bridge
One of the hardest things in life is to say Goodbye to a beloved pet family member. In many instances, it's too difficult to be with your pet companion as they cross over the Rainbow Bridge. I will meet you and your pet at your Veterinarian's office or other location. I'll then work with your veterinary team to provide comfort and loving support, and give a calming Reiki treatment until your cherished friend has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The cost for this service is based on the veterinarian's location from the University City area, and will be as small as possible to cover gas. There is no charge for clients of Stoney Creek Veterinary Hospital.

Workshops
If you have a group interested in learning more about Reiki and how it heals, attend an Introduction to Reiki workshop contact me to schedule a workshop for your group. Workshops last one to two hours, with an optional Healing Attunement and mini-treatment for workshop participants.
